    Are you an experienced Solar PV Installer or O&M Engineer ready to take the next step in your career?

    We’re offering an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and shaping a growing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) department.

    This isn’t just another field-based engineering role — it’s a genuine career progression opportunity. As the department expands, your position will evolve from hands-on delivery into leadership, with real influence over strategy, growth and team development.

    🚀 About the Role

    You’ll take ownership of Solar PV O&M activities, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. You’ll work closely with the Operations Team and be supported as you help grow this area of the business.

    Initially hands-on, the role will become increasingly strategic and leadership-focused as the department develops.

    🔧 Key Responsibilities

    Operations & Maintenance

    • Manage and deliver existing O&M contracts

    • Conduct annual inspection and testing across commercial sites

    • Monitor remote systems and proactively resolve faults

    • Produce detailed monthly performance reports

    • Identify system upgrades and performance improvement opportunities

    Remedial Works & Technical Support

    • Assess and respond to customer enquiries

    • Diagnose faults and determine remedial actions

    • Schedule and carry out site visits

    • Coordinate subcontractors for larger remedial works

    • Present technical recommendations clearly and professionally

    Department Growth & Leadership

    • Take ownership of O&M department growth plans

    • Support recruitment, training and team development as the team expands

    • Drive continuous improvement in processes and service offering

    ✅ What We’re Looking For

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial Solar PV installation

    • Strong working knowledge of PV systems (practical experience valued over academic qualifications)

    • 18th Edition qualification

    • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Testing (2391-52)

    • Blue CSCS Skilled Worker (or equivalent)

    • Experience with leading manufacturers such as Solis, SMA, SolarEdge, Schneider

    • Comfortable working with inverter reporting software and data analysis

    • Working towards NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)

    • Strong organisation, time management and customer communication skills
