Interim Packaging Technologist – Contract Role

As an Interim Packaging Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that packaging solutions meet both brand and technical standards while driving innovation and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimise existing packaging designs, troubleshoot technical issues, and help develop new packaging concepts aligned with product growth and sustainability goals. Your expertise will ensure packaging integrity, compliance, and cost-effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.

Evaluate and approve packaging materials and specifications to ensure quality and adherence to company standards
Collaborate with suppliers to source innovative, sustainable packaging solutions
Assist in the development of new packaging concepts and prototypes
Conduct testing and troubleshoot packaging performance issues
Ensure compliance with relevant food safety and regulatory standards

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Packaging Technologist within the food industry
Strong understanding of packaging materials, standards, and testing procedures
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers
Innovative mindset with a focus on sustainability and cost efficiency
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Available to start immediately on a contract basis
